Dawn Clements’ (1958-2018) was an American educator and contemporary artist. She is well known for her panoramic, large-scale drownings of interiors. She was documenting and describing her drawings as a durational experience. Often she was inspired not just from the interior which surrounds her/ from her own life, but also she found source material from old melodramas movies. Her ideology of her work was the idea of the home, a place of both comfort and confinement. That’s why she has very calm and even romantic atmosphere in some of her drawings.
